Graphics Artist Volunteer/Intern

 

Organization: Pikes Peak Behavioral Health Group

Location: Colorado Springs , CO

 

Summary:

Provides support for organization advertising and/or promotional efforts. 

 

Skills:

 

·                     Experience in publication layout, advertisements and graphic design for a variety of mediums.

·                     Should be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office (including Publisher) and either Quark Express or Adobe Illustrator.  PC Platform (not a MAC).

·                     May be required to assist with PowerPoint presentations.

·                     May be required to create projects that include audio and video.

·                     Should have knowledge of creating pre-press materials.  (Meaning: requirements for professional printers - file types, resolution, spot-color vs. process color, 4-color vs. 2-color, etc.)

·                     A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected.

·                     Provide a portfolio of recent work (or school work).

POSITION: GED Study Group Instructor
PPMHC

SUMMARY: Tutors PPMHC clients on GED Study.

REQUIREMENTS: Experience with tutoring in Language Arts, Reading , Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Critical Thinking Skills.

HOURS: Friday Mornings and other times that work for the volunteer.

POSITION: Teacher’s Aide

SUMMARY: Assists Vocational Services Teacher with the delivery of the vocational education training program that enables students with a significantly impaired emotional disturbance (SIED) and alternative high school students to gain vocational skill in a classroom and community setting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma. Previous experience working in a vocational setting preferred. Knowledge of MS Office Suite. Ability to type 25 wpm.

HOURS: 3 days per week, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
