Master's
Level Internship Program
PPMH currently accepts interns from Master’s in Counseling
Programs, Master’s in Psychology Programs, and Master of
Social Work Programs. All internship slots are through the Adult
Outpatient Network. Interns will be assigned to a clinical team
at the Adult Network and will be part of that team for their entire
training experience. The number of internship slots varies each
year and interns are usually accepted in September, January, and
May.

Requirements for Admission:
- Current enrollment in Masters-level Counseling/Psychology or
Social Work Program
- Interns must commit to complete at least 600 hours at PPMH. Most
interns work 20-24 hours per week. The internship must be completed
in a maximum of three consecutive semesters, or one full calendar
year (30-52 weeks)
Application Information:
Please send the following materials in a complete packet. We require
that all materials be sent to us at the same
time, directly by the student applicant, as one completed application
packet.

- Pikes Peak Mental Health Intern/Volunteer Application. Applications
can be obtained in person through Pikes Peak Mental Health’s
Human Resource Department, located at 220 Ruskin Drive, Colorado
Springs , CO , 80910 , or downloaded in

- Current curriculum vitae
- Transcripts of all graduate work (we do not require official
transcripts – you may submit copies from university website).
- Two letters of references. One of the two letters must be from
persons who have observed your clinical work. The other letter
should be from a university advisor or department head who will
report that you are ready for internship.

Upon receipt of an application, it is forwarded
to the appropriate clinical site for review. The site specific
clinical supervisory staff will make all determinations about accepting
an intern. The accepted intern will then be required to complete
and pass the background check before beginning their assignment. |
