One in four adults in the U.S. suffers from a diagnosable mental illness. In Colorado Springs, bipolar disease rates rank even higher. Yet, with early diagnosis and treatment, most individuals with a bipolar diagnosis can live normal lives.

Individual Therapy
Psychotherapy is the treatment of mental and emotional disorders through the use of psychological techniques designed to encourage communication of conflicts and insight into problems, with the goal being relief of symptoms, changes in behavior leading to improved social and vocational functioning, and personality growth. Individual psychotherapy is a session involving only two persons, the therapist and the client.

Clients who are receiving physical health care at Peak Vista Heath Center can obtain short term mental health therapy at the following Peak Vista medical clinics: Family Health Clinic, Myron Stratton, Divide, Immediate Care Clinic, Fountain and Homeless Clinic.

Group Therapy
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a small group of clients meet regularly to talk, interact, and discuss problems with each other and the group leader (therapist). The purpose of group therapy is to assist each individual in emotional growth and personal problem solving.

Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric Services includes Initial Psychiatric evaluations, medication prescribing and medication management services.
